  • Not to dispute you, but wouldn't this be in COLOR if it's from 1970?

  • @gotrane The promo was in color, as was All My Children, always. However, the clip was recorded from a black-and-white set. Even in 1970 many people did not own color televisions.

  • RICHARD HATCH LOOKED SO INNOCENT

  • Amazingly he was 26 in this clip. He's always had a boyish quality.

  • Totally agree. I'd rather watch that than the stuff they're doin' now with Kendall & Cameron Mathison (whatever his name is on the show). Old AMC looks way more dramatic. I miss Mary Fickett's Ruth. She looks real pretty here.

  • That was FANTASTIC!!!! Thanks for sharing.

  • @sierria64 How did he EVER turn into that fat nasty naked guy on "Survivor",,,:)

  • ABC should be ashamed of itself cancelling AMC for a lowlife cooking show called the chew.... I am asking everyone to BOYCOTT "The Chew" and if you may, write ABC and tell them so.

  • @saynotoursoap gud point

  • I can't remember when we didn't have a color TV in our family room. I had a 13 inch B&W in my room as a teenager. But bought a TV when I started working in 1981.

  • @sierria64 I had his poster too, cut it out from Teen Beat magazine! I first really fell for him when he played Jan in the made-for-TV movie about Jan & Dean, I think it was called "Dead Man's Curve".

  • I can definately understand about the color set. We were also in that "boat". I remember when we got our first one, and Mom and Dad commented on how color brought out all of the "lines" in the faces of those that appeared to be so much younger in black & white!

  • wow Ruth Martin with long hair!

  • That brief promo is a TON more interesting than a whole hour of what passes for AMC today.
