Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200 Cockpit View Takeoff

Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200 takes off from Savannah, Georgia, to Atlanta, Georgia. This was the Captain's (my dad) final ceremonial flight after 26 years of flying for Delta. He was hired by Delta Air Lines in 1979 after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 1972. He was originally based out of Miami Int'l Airport, spending time as a flight engineer on the Boeing 727, L-1011 and later working his way up to First Officer in the DC-8, DC-9, and MD-88. He became Captain flying the 757 and 767 which led up to his official retirement on January 1, 2005. Terry passed away in 2008 but has been always been my role model and has helped build my strong interest in aviation.

V2 ensures your climb rate is sufficient to prevent a stall. That was a spot on take-off - moving from 80 knots to VR in a snap.  This is the same crew that you did the final flight on, correct?

Take off roll is always so brief! I prefer those hot weather, LONG take-off rolls fo the 727. The 757 is a great plane, nice thrust and throw you back in your seat on initial acceleration, but they jump into the sky too quick for my taste. I'm just sayin lol....
