Mt. Rainier Crystal Lakes trail

A hike to upper and lower Crystal Lake at Mt. Rainier National Park. This trail is located in the NE corner of the park. The trail also has a side trail to Crystal Peak above the lake. The one thing that Ive noticed about this trail is that few people mention the park border and the connection to the Pacific Crest Trail which is an extra mile of hiking from the lake. Once you get to the park border, you get one heck of a valley/mountain view on the other side and a short hike to a second ridge results in ANOTHER great view of Mt. Adams! Ive noticed that the picture of Mt. Adams in the video is a bit hard to see, but its there.

On the way back to Enumclaw, WA, stop in at the Mint tavern for some pizza bread.
