You see, call me crazy, but I live in the now. Most of the world does. I don't sit around when I'm pissed off saying "well, once upon a time, I was happy." But apparently you're an expert at that.
Your logic is that since the Islanders had their glory days 25 years ago that its OK for them to be horrible now. If you want to live by that logic, be my guest. But winning Cups back in 1982 and 1983 will NOT save you from the humiliation that is the current Islander team.

You're just upset the Islanders sat on the sidelines again while the areas 2 best hockey clubs battled in the playoffs while you're pathetic goaltender sat in the VS. studio analyzing it.
The Islanders had their season essentially end before mid-March rolled around. How sad. The only team out of the local 3 to play like high-schoolers.
You're the third NHL team in town. And 9th team in a 9 team town. Losers.

And that is because the Rangers can't have greatness like that, the Devils were closer to being a dynasty than the Rangers, and they were HORRID in the 1980's.
Not winning the cup is a losing season, there are no points for second place, and the Rangers finished in 10th lol What medal is that? Does an alloy for 10th place exsist?

No daydreaming here, dreams are unaccomplished things, try "dreaming" about what it would feel like to win all those cups in real time.
When you hit the alarm and finish cleaning off your panties, you come back to me and tell me how great it was.
4 cups, 19 playoff series wins, a plethera of NHL records, a highly respected team that has 17 members with 4 cup rings each. Many of the players still work for the team, see them all the time.
What cemetary are the Rangers cup winners in?lol

I'll tell you what, when you wake up from your 1983 daydream, and realize that its 2008, come talk to me. You're living in the past, thinking that people actually think highly of the Islanders. I hate to break it to ya, but 2 of the last 3 years have resulted in 2 13th place finishes. How can you think the 13th place team in the East is better than the 5th place team? Think logicially. This is a dark time for your franchise. You're not on the same level as us right now. The stats back it up.

We gained plenty. The only people who deny the fact that the Rangers are very good at the moment are Islander and Devil fans. The stats don't lie. Only 3 teams in the East have made the playoffs every year since the lockout, and its us, Ottawa, and New Jersey. Is making the playoffs ENOUGH? Nope. Not saying it is. But for an idiot like yourself to criticize the Rangers current state while rooting for a bottom-feeding team like the Islanders is humiliating.
