  • Very Very nice crosswind landing!! I see your work. Also 130mph is sick for the sundowner!!!

  • How are you getting 130+ out of a 15" prop ?

  • how is the visibility of the plane in the air is it easy to see.

  • @jjflash72 Correction: it was 137,9mph..... ;-)

  • Hi Guys, just did some GPS logged passes with my Sundowner 50:

    Max Speed, after diving: 137mph.

    Setup used:

    Motor: Magic Torque 60-04 (400KV)

    Battery: 6S 4000mAh (SLS 25C)

    ESC: Hype 80A Opto

Prop: 15x12 Aeronaut Cam Carbon Power

    GPS Logger: Photomate 887 lite

If you want, I can send the GPS log.......

  • @stmbastmba Nice video, I like this plane, but I fly mostly warbirds. Awesome speed, what's the reason for not using the glow engine on it?

  • Found this on an RC Groups thread; not verified but seemed legit:

"This is a fellow club member's Sundowner 50. He is running the

    recommended E-Flite Power 46, an E-Flite 60 Amp ESC, a Thunder Power

6S1P 5000 mAh li-poly and an APC E 12X8 prop. The 6S is actually one

cell over what the 46 is rated at, so he was careful to not stay at WOT

    for very long.

This is a beautiful ARF from Hangar 9! Nice flying, Efrain!"

  • stmbastmba you've been called out; please share your setup!

  • I don't think he wants to say what electronics he's got in there because that way you can't prove he wasn't flying 130. I have to admit though, whatever is in there its fast!

  • How long can the Sundowner 50 fly on the motor/battery config that you have? 10 minutes? I hope so...
