I'm glad to see that she still sings and entertains her fans. And I'm glad that the gay community has been loyal to her for so many years even though she's offensively underrated by the media and over looked from her tremendous talent. Ms. Holliday has voice that is like thunder and lightning. She is one of the many queens of Broadway.

I saw her perform one of the 2 nights she was there, she was amazing! Not only that, I got to meet her afterward... She walked up to me and called me by my name, I looked up and burst into tears. She grabbed my hand and told me "Don't cry sweety" and we talked. She gave me wonderful words of advise and inspiration. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life. As a young man, and a young singer. She had no clue the impact she has had on my life and music. I will cherish that memory forever!

She has made it clear in many interviews that, if it weren't for the gay community, she might have ended it. She said that when she was overweight and no one wanted to hire her, "they didn't care," and when she was struggling with her career, "they were always there." So, this is really special to see, and I'm so glad you posted it.

Her voice, OMG...she has always been an Excellent singer and unfairly overlooked by the music industry because of her weight, but Ms. Holiday, your gift of song will never be forgotten, it will always live on...and this performance like all of your performances have touched me immensely. This Performance was just BEAUTIFUL and MESMERIZING.

As it says in the notes, Jennifer Holliday performed in a series of concerts with the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles in June 2009.
