Paul Craig Roberts argues that the state of the U.S. economy and the way the government treats its people demonstrate that the U.S. has entered the ranks of failed states. The failed state characteristics that the U.S. has shown include a government budget dependent on foreign financing and government priorities skewed in favor of the super-rich.

There should be a coup d'etat by the US military, and states should secede from the union.
