He says: "Number...or picture" with the emphasis on number which made me think of number cards. He also said: "the color of the suite" which made me think of red cards, then he pumped his hands above his heart->heart but I didn't see a seven.

im guessing he is placing his astral self or a spirit helper amongst her demons and fears and because he is making up the rules he can penetrate her wall and then touch her. the astral body is quite dense and can be felt if enough force is given. thats my guess.

@trooogdooor its not "mind reading" that they will think of but "Mind control", they will think he is a mind reader if he ask the spec to think of a card and THEN he would remove the card from his deck. In this case, he pre determined the card ....

Very Clever.
Derren uses key words like does it FEEL right and visual hand gestures of heart beat to create the heart.
He also emphasis on the sentence "it could be a NUMBER or a picture or whatever" and waves his hand in the number 7 motion and quickly clicks his finger to make the guy think really quick before he loses the number 7 in his mind.
I enjoyed this ... good on him
