The best music school I ever attended was a couple Woodstock NY to Oakland CA transplants, guitarist Rolf 'Wolf' Carl and drummer Charlie Steinlauf. Joined by Richard Howell on sax. Based on Marvin Gaye's "Got to give it up" - 1986

  • So Cool! I turned Rolf on to Bird, Trane Etc. He was one of my best friends back in the day. Until he decided I was an ass hole. And he was probably right. We were the rhythm section for the Jazz band in HIGH school. And it was!. Along with Fred (Manerie) Waring III on drums. We sight read through Ellington Tunes etc every morning second period. Charlie was my jam buddy as was his sister Joyce. I miss those guys. I miss those days. Thanks for making this. What a surprise! God Bless!
