@chriswoodsgroove Thank you very much Chris, that's really helpful! The problem was that in Holland there are only a few who sell the logarhythm (the heel n toe ain't here at all unfortunately), and they're not close, couldn't try it out, so thanks again and all the best! Vanessa

@Nesh16041972 no problem. The difference is in tone. The darker woods tend to have a deeper sound to them, if the EQ is left flat. However, with a bit of EQing you can achieve such a huge range of tones anyway, I would suggest choosing for aesthetics. Having said that I tend to favour Walnut or Sapele. Best thing to do is get to your local shop and get trying, otherwise my vote would be with Sapele, sounds great and is hard as nails!!!
