Poor Mans version of trying to be bolero I think. .. And failing massively. I dont like them. She is a oscar winning actress, and I will never forgive them, for that pile of crap rock and roll in 1994... Dont shoot me, just my opinion! Tfs anyway :)

i remember that back at these games, this team was the prohibitive favorite of the judges(because of the unfair 6.0 system back then and the block-judging), but NOT the audience. they were totally OVERSCORED and did not deserve to win the gold over more crowd-pleasing teams. had the current ISU judging system been installed back in '98, i doubt very much they would have been given the gold medal. i was never a fan of grishuk's diva attitude.

this dance will stay a must-know and a must-trained for ice dancer whereever you come from but technically what you need to know is that this couple does not coorespond to a good standard in dance he was far taller than her and she has loose weight just to be more airy. some ice dancer have complaint about this difference of shape and the ISU is thinking about a way to regulate pairs measure in ice skating and dancing

@dsfddsgh Ice-dancers and pairs teams were the most unfairly judged in the old system. I used to love to watch this pair, they were beautiful on the ice. I'm happy with the current judging system, as well as the added technical requirements. Today's best teams not only have the technical elements, but the artistry. I've waited for...years for the US to produce a dance team that could truly compete with the world and I'm happy that day is finally here.

Gorgeous, wonderfully executed choreography....and as the music was bringing me to tears, she breaks down at the end...and I'm weeping with her....

@mtviolin24 I don't think it is possible to compare pair skating with "one man" skating. At least, they present this music idea first and they nailed it. So others only copy them. And from my point of view ... When I saw this for 1st time I had goose bumps and it had never changed while I'm watching this dance.

this is THE programm of the sciecle, technical, powerfull, artistic!

Still amazing after all these years. It's one of my favorite programs of this team. The music, the look, the choreography, everything. Quite often brilliant programs and dances have teeth grinding music, either can't stand it or heard it too often, that ruins the performance a bit for me. But this is one of the rare programs where everything comes together.
Really masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bravo!

Stunning! Gymnastic exercise rather than dance? I say it's just a different type of dance. I prefer this a lot to the legendary "bolero" by Torvill & Dean. No offen, but, as long as figure skating is a sport, technical aspect should never be devalued under artistic impression, which tends to be subjective. Besides beautiful execution of difficult elements itself is an art. Iceshows can be a perfect place for artistry-pursuer & adorers. It's not a matter of which is better or superior.
