Firesheep is a free and open source extension for Firefox which makes it easy to fetch cookies from within a WiFi network and use them to change personal information on a person's profile (Facebook, Twitter, etc) or pose as them and post status updates on their behalf.

Fortunately, there's no way to obtain passwords with it.. but people can still potentially access your accounts without you knowing.

  • this is not hacking and if a company like firefox creates a hack as an addon it would be sued for millions of dolars. this program just saves your cookies, its like a keylogger on your computer
