In this two-part documentary, Oxford Professor Richard Dawkins examines how religious faith is gaining ground in the face of rational, scientific truth. The program takes you to some of the world's religious hot-spots, both in America and the Middle East. Dawkins meets with religious leaders and their followers, as well as scientists and sceptics to examine the power of religion. Interviews with former Pastor Ted Haggard, the novelist Ian McEwan, the former Bishop of Oxford, and others offer valuable insights into the global impact and consequences of faith in the 21st century.

Along with his million-copy bestseller The God Delusion, Richard Dawkins' Root of All Evil? has helped inspire people of reason worldwide to say "Enough is enough!" Our modern world is the product of a long march from ignorance and fear to the Enlightenment and beyond, always guided by the power of science and reason. To now abandon our endeavour toward progress and knowledge for faith and superstition puts humanity in peril.

  • I hate Haggard's lips. They're so...mobile; I guess natural selection made them perfect for sucking dick.

  • You don't need to be arrogant if you're correct.

  • LMAO- he obviously doesn't even know who Goebbels was or what the Nuremberg rallies were.... idiot.

  • @hiphoponeworld I live in the Netherlands and here, church and state are strictly separated, but still, we have a LOT of Muslims here and they're taking away our right of free speech, for example when mocking or joking about - say - 'a certain religion' (people were killed because of it by Muslim exremists!) If this goes on, I will move to one of the Scandinavian countries, you seem to have it quite good up there! :D

  • @SeedsOfHatred very!

  • @hiphoponeworld Scary, isn't it?

  • i can't even believe what i'm seeing. I live in Sweden, where nobody even jokes about the possibility of a god creating us, it's just so outdated and retarded here.. and i get shocked every time i watch religious clips regarding USA because it's insane how much power the church has over there.. we live in 2 different worlds, for sure.

  • Haggard is exactly what I would picture the face of a demon to be. It's just... aaaaargh. Yuck.

I don't believe in such nonsense, so it's exactly what I picture the face of a dumbass to be.

  • LOL, "Dr. Goebbels would have been proud"

  • @InteGrayting2 I would make a round about guess and say that Ted Haggard is not a happy person. He has been caught with drugs and gay boy prostitutes. He is obviously a closeted homosexual that is probably using drugs and his religion to deal with that. He should be a good example for gay people to come out of the closet and not listen to the insane nonsense that he preaches because he's a self hating hypocrite.

  • DOESN'T CONTRADICT ITSELF?!!!! Has he even read that darn thing?!
