They call it the "forgotten war," and some have said it has fallen into the "black hole of history," but to those who fought on the Korean peninsula, between 1950 and 1953,and their families, it will never be forgotten; nor will the buddies that gave their lives on those dreaded hills ever be forgotten. Called a police action, and everything else but a war; make no mistake about it, it was truly a war, and a very costly war at that. Stationed in Japan in 1950, at the outbreak of the war, the 17th Infantry "Buffalo" Regiment was the only American unit to reach the Yalu River-the border between Korea and China, after two incredible amphibious landings behind enemy lines. This is a 2 1/2 minute trailer for the 3 1/2 hour documentary of a veteran of the 17th Infantry, retired New York State County Judge, Stuart Namm's compelling film produced by Legal Eagle Productions after two years of production and 48 interviews of veterans around the country. Clips of the documentary, which took two years to be produced by one man, and his wife Nancy, as Executive Producer, can be seen at www.legaleagleproductions.com. There are also details as to how to obtain copies of this 3 1/2 hour documentary on two disks of the compelling story of the 17th Infantry Regiment from Japan to Pork Chop Hill. The stories of these heroic men will bring laughter and tears to your eyes. The cost: $29.99 + $4.00 shipping cost. It will be a great gift to a veteran and/or his family. These heroes must never be forgotten! If interested, please contact the creative director at: RetJudgeS1@aol.com, or send a check in the amount of $33.95, which includes $4.00 for shipping, payable to either Stuart or Nancy Namm at 101 Marshview Road, Hampstead,. NC 28443. You can also pay by PayPal to RetJudgeS1@aol.com. While this is a documentary about one regimental combat team, the stories, battles and locales apply to who were infantry during the "forgotten war." It is an ideal gift for your children, grandchildren, or yourself; or a gift for any occasion, so that your family and friends will always remember what so many sacrificed to give them a life of liberty, peace and prosperity. $5.00 of each purchase will be donated to the "Buffalo Bill Quinn Scholarship Fund" of the 17th Infantry Association.

  • Have the Korean people forgotten what these brave American men did to make Korea the great country it is today? Was it necessary to embarrass the first American African-American president as he attempted to cement a trade deal which would have mutual benefits to the United States and Korea?

  • I was hoping that someone watching these videos could assist me. My dad passed away in 1976 when I was still a young teen. I did not get an opportunity to know him as well as I would have liked, and now that I am reaching some age in my life, I would like to find out more about him. I was hoping someone could direct me in where I could find some articles, pictures or film on his unit - Company D, 17th Infantry specifically from August - September 1951 and the Battle of Chup'a-ri.

  • see all american movies they even emagin that some elians are going to destroy the worlds,it shows thir state of mind, fear...and level of conciousness.

  • .war and impression on other contries pluse their foolish idea to be in power they want to impose on world...what finally they have got by ding all this..coreans dislike to eachother and still in state of war...a real corean can not forget partition of thir country and hate spreaded by this fool americans among them...why they have interest in all other country..why they thinks world is thir enemy?..

  • why american have interest in other contries?and what they have done after marking 38th parallel?ultimatly they have devided to corea...its seems to me that thay have done almost nothing ..offcorse they have done fool work with the life of american ,corean and chinees soldiors?..see how much america is far away from those countries?even then they want to play like small child who have nothing to do.

  • I served with A 3/17 in the late 80's still have a great memories. God bless of all the "Bulls" past present and future

  • good vid.. you are not forgooten guys...

  • if america's nuclear secrets had not been stolen by jew communists the russians would not have had any nukes during this time period.I reckon american casualties could have been reduced by 70% because macarthur would have unleashed hell on those stinking chicoms the minute they crossed the yalu river.

  • one needs to see Korea today to see what the war brought about.. a prosperous rich country. These veterans would not recognize Seoul.. Song is Arirang. It was played inPyongyang by the Philharmonic. Pray for the death of Kim Jung Il and that the army will not allow his son to succeed him.

  • is there another nation on this planet so obsessed with war as the US? i doubt it
