Chapter 3:

Enter The Retaliators.

Oh Thor, oh Thor! The hardest part of this was giving up Thor. I would bet money that in their movie(s) they will play "God Of Thunder". But it will just be a gimmick, it won't be credible. The best Thor their inferior talents could possibly come up with could never be worthy of that song. My Thor was worthy of it. But the mythical figure I chose to stand in for Thor is at least his equal. Thor decimates all, of that there is no doubt. But try to think of the one mythical figure, father-gods not included, who could give Thor pause. Y'see, in the mythologies, Thor was the god of thunder, yes, but he was also something else, to the Vikings. My stand-in was not a god of thunder, though thunder and other things submit to his will, but mainly he was that other thing to his people. When and if Thor ever finds himself in a situation of having to step up to this guy, he would do so valiantly, for he is a warrior born, who shows no fear. But, unbeknownst to anyone but he, inside his godly drawers, his dick would be shriveled and his asshole puckered. My new character commands kings, emperors, presidents and generals to kneel before him. And, they humbly do. He is accountable to no one, no one can make him answer for anything he does. His ways are dark and brutal. He thinks of himself as benevolent, but the legends that have portrayed him as otherwise are not entirely without basis. If he says he's on our side, go along with it, it's preferable to the alternative. To him, us mortals are inferior life forms. So, what is his motivation for this? Well, after more than a thousand years with a certain goddess who is known more for her beauty than her virtue, he's sick of her shit, and is seeking the company of another goddess, who is beautiful in her own right, but is known more for her virtue. Her condition to him is that he cleanse himself of the Innocent Blood. What better way to do that, than to save the world a few times? And, he will. In a most godly fashion that could only be wrought by One Such As He. There are no elections for the position of Chairman of The Retaliators. He is the uncontested leader. Of course he is! Who could lead him and who would he follow? There is a hierarchy for the job of Acting Chairman, when he's not around.
