Point taken, but what I guess I was trying to say is that if anti-war protesters are trying to engage moderates, then they need to discover an argument that is appealing to them. Today, we see how the teabaggers and the birthers are hurting the republian party. irrationality never really wins.

If you're already against the war, do you really think a few protestors are even capable of offending you SO badly that you'll change your opinion on an such an important issue? You either care about the war's lack of legitimacy and the potential lives at stake, or you don't. I mean it's like "Well, I DID care that Bush lied in order to coax us into a war YESTERDAY, but now that I know this Billy Talen idiot agrees with me, I'm going to change my opinion and start rallying FOR the war."
