Boston University rolled to a 5-2 win over archrival Boston College, throwing over 45 shots on net. BC took an early lead with a PP goal 40 seconds in by Benn Ferriero, and John Muse held the Terriers scoreless until the first intermission despite and 18-6 lead in shots. The Terriers power play broke through in the second period though, as Bonino scored his first goal since his last game against BC. Colby Cohen then gave the Terriers a 2-1 lead on the PP. Vinny Saponari extended the lead with a wraparound goal, and in the third period Kevin Shattenkirk and Matt Gilroy padded the lead. BC scored a late shorthanded goal to make the final score 5-2 in favor of the Terriers. Terrier co-captain Matt Gilroy played despite suffering what was thought to be a separated shoulder, and was terrific, and Kieran Millan was solid in net making 19 of 21 saves.
