In these Goosetorials (I see what you did there Goose) I just spat out the information, I didn't plot out everything I was going to say so keep that in mind.

FYI for part there I cut out the options of setting up a RAID0 and the possibility of setting up both a RAID1 and RAID0 at the same time. This can improve performance as well - try googling it to learn more. Google is your friend.
