  • Also, if you Google "Missouri Spiders" you will see sites that show pictures of the different types. The spider on that blue plant pot has way too thick of an abdomen to be considered a brown recluse and brown recluses are just that.....all brown with a darkened violin shape. Wolf spiders are very fuzzy, puffy, black colored spiders.

  • actually that's not a brown recluse, the one you're looking at on the blue pot. That is a Missouri Barn Spider. Brown recluses have very thin abdomens and they have the shape of a fiddle or violin on their back. That's why they're called Fiddleback Spiders.

    The first 2 you showed, the one on the ground next to the shoe is a Wood Spider. They get really large down in Florida! HUGE large! UGH

    I can't see well enough to tell what the one in the shoe is. Male spiders are much smaller too.
