This 1906 Locomobile won the presitigious Vanderbilt Cup in 1908, the first American car to win a major international auto race.
On permanent display in the collections of The Henry Ford Museum, this legendary car has never been restored and is considered a national treasure.
For the 58th annual Old Car Festival held September 6th & 7th, 2008, Old Number 16 was brought out and driven for the last time before being permanently retired to static exhibit. Malcolm Collum, formerly a Senior Conservator at the Ford Museum and now Chief Conservator of the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum returned to Dearborn to drive Old 16 on its last rounds. Transportation Curator Bob Casey describes the car to visitors at the event.

this is a beutiful car, very nice to see it running.
the commentator sounds like an idiot camparing it to a neon though. if this is called a car, the dodge neon should be called something else, there is no comparing the 2.

I would guess, if I had to, that this car is still quite capable of triple digits. Unfortunately, they no longer manufacture men who would care to take it there. That generation had balls that clanked. I had the honor of standing next to this car at idle, and the mere percusion of the exhaust was enough to ruffle your shirt.
