concert of kinetic sculptures

installation by aXe-ensemble www.axe.gs Between motion and sound there is a narrow and physical relationship based on vibration and undulation and we use this strong interaction as a composition element. Its role is to animate and bring expression to the mechanic and electronic structures. Through the harnessing and amplification of the structures' movements one can make the slightest jolt audible and our ears open to an apparently silent world. The kinetic sculptures become characters and instruments, invent their own language, their song and their biological rhythm.
