  • Good advice tinny.

  • Shoot it out of a cannon. I might just try that.

  • Thanks, Tinny. But I agree with sabre11004.

I have used PET bottles for many years and never broken any. I always carry extra water in LAKEN aluminum bottle and hot water in thermo for emergency.

My personal choice but I'm interested to know anyone encountered PET bottle explosion while hiking.

  • I have actually used the PET bottles for many years. I have filled the thinner water bottles with water and slammed them down on the ground and they have never broken. They are extremely tough and durable. I always carry two of them with me at all times wrapped up flat with a rubber band aound them for emergencies.

again, these bottles are very very durable....sabre11004

  • That's why we must recycle the bottle :D

  • they are disposable but, they are harmful for the environment. we must protect the environment

  • heww!i always have my nalgene bottle wherever i go!

  • ...

  • The durability or possible "explosion" factor of a PET bottle is not necessarily enough to deter people from carrying them. They are cleaner, disposable, lighter and cheaper than other solutions. For me it's a couple PET bottles.

  • Go world! Nice work, Tinny.
