Rajon Rondo 24 Assists mix vs Knicks

Rajon Rondo racks up a triple-double, including 24 assists, as the C's hold off the Knicks.

Rondo had 10 points and 10 rebounds and topped his regular-season personal best of 18 assists set against Sacramento in March, but fell short of the franchise record of 28 set by Hall of Famer Bob Cousy in 1959.

@AL3X0298 He didn't break the Celtics record. Cousy had 28 assists in 1959 back when an assist was only granted on catch and shoots. Rondo always kills the Knicks though.

@aprinswag Alright if 24 assists isn't a big deal, i would like to see you get more than 24 assists in one game. Oh and not to mention he is playing at the NBA level, also he broke the record for most assists by a celtic.

@skippershand he didnt do much for the shot, thats true. But if you pass to someone and he's completely open but the range is too far for him and he takes two dribbles or so to get closer to the basket, then its still an assist. At THIS play its weird to say it was an assist cause allen created the shot on his own, dribbling past the defender and then stopping and going up but still rondo set it up and there weren't eve 2 seconds between the catch and the shoot, check it out :)
