We hear people talk about spiritual/health benefits of fasting, but some of us dont like to lose muscle. But I have found that the more fasts you do the more your body can keep your muscle. Also if you incorporate weight lifting is a wise way, your body gets even better at keeping your muscle on long fasts. Watch me work out before I break this 20 day water fast

  • "I desire mercy, NOT sacrifice" said Jesus (Mat. 12/3 to Mat 12/7 : "Haven't you read what David did, when he was hungry, and those who were with him?..."). "I came that they may have life and have everything they need more abundantly" (John 10/10).

Mother Teresa said: "Hungry not only for bread - but hungry for LOVE. Naked not only for clothing - but naked for human DIGNITY and RESPECT. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks - but homeless because of REJECTION..." Regards from France

  • @jmstrasbourg Agreed. I think I put this out as more of a health thing. In fact, I am exercising. The annecdotes I gave in the video were health annecdotes of others. That being said, there are stories of myself and others that I chose not to include of spiritual things happening on a fast. The first two bible verses you had was Jesus responding to overemphasis on things of the law. It wasnt his disgust in personal sacrifice. If someone wants to look silly on you tube not eating, dont stress.

  • I have to commend you for your fast.

  • @QueerAsFaith Thank you. I really did get a sense of accomplishment.

  • Great video. Always wondered the effects of fasting and exercise. Herbert Shelton wrote a chapter about it in his book 'The Hygene System'
