I like the words "roar of a coal train" anyone standing near a unit train pulling up the grade from Tunnelton, WV to Oakland, Maryland knows what he is sing about. I like the "country roads" of this State, born and raised a WV son. Always enjoy coming back home!

This is the most beautiful song I've heard. My husband and I go down to West Virginia every chance we have. So friendly and beautiful country. Love you WEST VIRGINIA!!
Peaceful, comforting, just love this state. People are so much friendlier! The mountains are gorgeous! Just gorgeous! There are no words for this state.

This brought goosebumps and tears. The music itself is a sweet breath of mountain air, and the pictures were my home! Thank you for sharing your talents. :)

How would one go about purchasing this song? I would love to use it on my slideshows.

"Two proud universities"? What about West Virginia State University? Who wrote the lyrics to this song? Nice performance, Darrell Ramsey (if that's you).

Is there a way I could get the lyrics and chords to this song? I work in hospice and a patient's family wants me to sing this at their mom's funeral tomorrow! Hopefully you get this in time!

Wow, Darryl, this is nothing short of wonderful, ranks right up there with Almst Heaven. You should get this recorded for the masses, it is THAT good!!!
This music is really nice. 60 years in WV makes me a full blooded Mountaineer. No matter
where I roam, WV will always be my home
