Lisa Wade, PhD, professor of Sociology at Occidental College, discusses hook up culture, alongside entertaining visuals, on MTV Canada's IMPACT. Originally aired September 26th, 2011.
@relmneiko This is NOTHING like my college experience. People do not seem to be pressured to be hot AT ALL! There are no groups of stereotypically attractive women going around campus pointing and sadistically giggling at girls less "attractive". I did find one fuckbuddy and she's still my fuckbuddy because I'm monogamous and am not going to just find another. Plus she's in love with me. Yeah problems. But 4-7 sexual experiences? That's at the lowest, one per year. That's STD time. No thanks.
There are more shows on television that glamorize a single life style the a happy marriage or happy long term couple. Society trys to mirror what we learn from television. You see this in fads.
