Now that FFR has been down for about a little more than 2 months, I give you the ultimate in FFR tools, the Stepmania file to FFR file converter, known as the Super Secret Flash Flash Revolution Converter (SSFFRC!) It has been leaked everywhere over the net where people converse about FFR at this point, so I don't care about protecting the link anymore. The link to this awesome site is below!

The awesome link:
http://ssffrc.fapfaprevolution.com/

Now you can convert your stepmania files over to ffr! Just be sure to try to convert them with minimal holds, mines, and BPM changes. For the most part, it will convert your file if it has these things, but it increases the chance of you having to offset the frames in your file*. If you try to convert a file with stops or a really long .zip file name, it will reject your file. Be sure to keep your .zip file named something simple, and that your file contains NO stops once soever!

As well someone has already came out with an FFR offline mini pack, you can download right now!

My FFR mega pack is pretty much complete! I plan for a release and video around April 1st!

I hope you all enjoy this awesome software! Remember, if you don't have the offline engine interface, you can get it here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WUQUTN24

FFR genre values:
1 = "Dance"
2 = "Dance 2"
3 = "Funk"
4 = "Arcade"
5 = "Rock"
6 = "Classical"
7 = "Misc"
8 = "Secret"
9 = "Purchased"
10 = "Token" (non-skill)
11 = "Hip-Hop"
12 = "Token" (Skill)
13= "Support token"

*In order to offset your file if the arrows feel off sync, you have to re-input your info for the level, and then go to offset frames on the page. The greater you feel it is off, the higher the offset you will need. Typically, you should be inputting an offset of -1 (negative one) to -3 (negative three) but other values may possibly be needed. You need to experiment a bit to get a perfect offset. Do NOT try to offset it by a decimal number such as -1.5 (negative one and 5 tenths), and do not offset it by an extreme number such as -30 or -40. Make sure the level name is the same and convert away! Replace the file from the old to the new in the levels folder, and you are done!

  • file formatted incorrectly..

    I'm doing for pokemon medley.. the 26min song lol

    anyways.. I have a folder of just the mp3 and the .sm file, but keep getting the file formatted incorrectly message. Anything that I could be doing wrong to get this?

  • @findarian, unfortunately there are small issues with SSFFRC that have yet to (and probably will never be) fixed. If I recall correctly SSFFRC has a serious issue converting higher quality mp3's, and additionally DO NOT convert files over 8:50 long!! World Tour 2004 is the longest song on FFR for a reason, if it was even just 30 seconds longer the file would go into glitch overdrive once the max length is hit. I tested this with Dungeon.1 a long time ago, the file will be unplayable around 8:50!

  • oh my god. I passed the impossible song 4. o.o that song was nuts....

    CHART: 937 - 488 - 187 - 412 - 506 with a max combo of 558. the 558 part over exhausted my hand and i tried not to miss.

  • @nickcool9999, that's awesome! Yeah that song is pretty ridiculous, along with a few of the other songs on there. You have to be able to vibrate pretty fast so even come close to keeping up with that ending!

    Again, awesome job passing it!

  • Is there any way to convert any level swf file to an sm file?

  • @cheztheguy, that is essentially impossible. Stepmania runs on very precise timing, according to a beats per minute scale...while on the other hand FFR is a 30 fps "close enough" kind of conversion. Essentially FFR conversions take a SM file and are like "note at 0.0234 seconds? Frame 6 is good enough." You could copy the chart and remake it in Stepmania...but that is an unnecessary amount of work.

  • Yeah, you don't happen to have an offline version of the converter, do you?

  • Why this link expired ?

    Help me :D

  • How did you make the intro at 0:02?

  • Wow, ur amazing, I'll download it!

  • I'm having problems converting. It keeps telling me Zip Extraction failed.

  • V Vibrate is undercharted. I finished a quarter of the song and i almost FC'd Death Piano without a problem.
