You have saved my life. I have an Iphone First Generation and this solved the problem. One NOTE: Don't rush your phone. I thought it froze when it was getting ready to reboot cause it took so long. Turns out it has to take that long. Just let the programs do what they were made to and don't press any buttons too early.
