@drthrean and what wrist hurt more? I like the idea behind Vim and infact I myselft design a keyboard layout with autohotkey to almost never move the arm. Now I have an anoying pain in my writs. I move my arms to precisely reduce the pain in my hands, Isn't a good thing.

I don't know. I always try to move to a modal text editor, yet when I see people using it i always think the time he spends typing regex, moving around, selecting and other stuff I could be done in half the time in a visual editor.

No, it's main strength is it's ergomomic key command design. You are right: using the mouse is quite fast. With the common hybrid mouse keyboard technique you can probably go as fast as experienced Vim users BUT:
it's not ergonomic. How often do you switch mouse and keyboard with your right hand a day? 1000 times? I do it perhaps 100 times. Now whose right shoulder will hurt more?

Vim's main strength is its macros. An abundance of plugins is a secondary strength. Other than that it sucks. Using the mouse is actually pretty fast, it's just the fact that it's boring that makes you notice.
Replace with confirmation? Only cowards using confirmations!
