Google has finally spilled the beans on their new operating system, the Google Chrome OS. Here's what I think the future holds for it.

  • Hello Taylor

i hope every thing is fine with u

very good review & congratulations for the new Tech cores it's very nice i think that cloud computing & virtual OS is some how useful but not safe & reliable enough

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked the review! And yes, everything is going great with me. Thanks for asking.

I'm glad you like the new Tech Cores; I've really spent a lot of time on it. :)

Cloud computing is very useful, that is, when it works. Because it's Google, I'm sure they'll make it very safe and reliable. Just look on how many people use GMail. :)

  • The site is really nice & very professional

I totally agree with u that Gmail is one of the securest web based mail ever , but i meant that u can't leave your important data on the web .i personally will not relay that much on the cloud computing

  • Thanks Mohamed! I'm glad you like the new site!

That's true, you really wouldn't want to store your really important data on the web like your password information. But Google Chrome OS isn't really meant for that. Although you can plug in a USB device to Google Chrome OS, and open files from there too.

I wouldn't rely on it, but it would be a perfect on-the-go operating system to use.

So you, you still have a place you can store files. :)

  • This "plug in " thing is very usful & of coures more secure that's will be very handy .

i think that google will bulid a "client operating system" don't you ?

  • I wouldn't think Google would build a client side operating system. If you ever noticed, a lot of Google's services (G-Mail, YouTube, GReader) all do kind of work together. Google likes to keep users using their services and no one else's if you haven't realized that. Google will most likely stick with a cloud computing OS.

  • what chrome theme is that

  • i don't have a facebook

    why should i

  • thunderbird is alot better then outlook in my opinion, you should try it out :)

  • Interesting information! Goog(d) video xD

  • Ouch, I wouldn't run Vista on that. Maybe Windows 7, but I would upgrade it to 2GB if you want to run Windows 7. I wouldn't try to run Vista with 1.367GB's of memory...

I would just stick with XP.

  • No one heard of K-Meleon, its a nice light browser too. It's minimal too. And, Linux is unable to support games. Wine compatibility is not the best and user friendly. Chromium OS seems to be just a glorified browser. Facebook? Farmville? Why do "virtual" farming... plant real trees! Talk to real people, people around you. But, you can find good friends on the internet. Doesn't Google realise that it runs on Windows?People jst want "choool" things, stupid! Windows is still productive to a newbie.
