  • That is so interesting. Thanks for shairng about the Touareg

  • Chava you are most welcome.

  • They may not be born musicians, but this man's heart is tuned to harmony.

  • If you are seriously interested, I could hook you up with some wonderful people in the Negev desert in the South of Israel, or with a Bedouin chief who is a very dear friend of mine - in the North of Israel.

  • Interesting since these Bedouin originally came from the Sudan. Sudan borders on Eritrea, so it makes sense, the cultural connection.

  • @mewoone The bedouin come from north africa and the middle-east my friend.

  • thats a lyre.. if the bedouin is from africa then it probably is from Eritrea/Sudan lyre.. thats how the style looks.. if from the middle east then maybe near Israel.

  • @musicpeace who said that they came from Sudan? Bedouin are from the middle of Hejaz (today part of Saudi)

  • If you go see the Beduin in Algeirs/Mali, they call themselves the Touareg, and play this music on guitars and the Mali djembe.

Both are absolutely gorgeous. Someone said it, if I ever leave the world without dying, it will be to live among the Bedu.

  • went camping with Bedouins in the Negev Desert - was awesome ! thanks for upload

  • is there another word for this instrument? so amazing!

  • Does anyone know anything about this instrument, like where it originated, is it easy to play and where they can be obtained?

  • C'est Bob dit l'âne !
