Wrong! Both Cathedrals were built by Catholics for Catholic worship. The Anglicans, as they did in England, took the buildings after the Reformation, whit the big difference that Irelend was always loyal to the Catholic Church, even without proper places of worship. Anglicans stole these buildings.
they didn't "steel" the money from the English economy built it souly for Anglican worship, if they english hadn,t taken over ireland, these two "magnificent" buildings wouldn't be there!
What a pity that Anglicans stole this magnificent building from the Catholic Church. Now, the vast majority of Irishmen don't have a Cathedral on their own and the small Anglican community keep two great Cathedrals in Dublin. It seems unfair to me.
Stolen property like every other Cathedral of any significance in the sick joke of a church better known as anglican communion
