Seseme Street was ahead of time; other kid shows like Zoobillee Zoo, Mister Rodgers Neighbor Hood, Reading Rainbow, Barny and Friends, Dora The Explorer and Go Diego go trying to only focus on kids but SS was different by teaching lessons for kids and being cute and adorble but at the same time it managed to find that balance for adults for pop culture parody like this song parodying Great Balls of Fire by Little Richard.

Man, you guys are right, Sesame street was so much better back in the day. I was born in 1990 And had a couple vhses that had this song on it, along with a shit load others that are in my favorites right now. And I agree with everyone here. Elmo destroyed the amazingness that Sesame Street used to be. I personally Stopped watching when The Cookie monster started eating oatmeal cookies...But I still love the Count, and Lambaba WOO

This was before Sesame Street got all politically correct and dumbed itself down for the 2000's along with all the other kid's shows that actually treated kids like thinking humans.
