Leaders' Questions 15th March 2011. Micheál Martin has told the Dáil that there should be no ambiguity about Ireland's position on corporation tax. He said that the Taoiseach should inform our partners in Europe that we have already held a referendum on corporation tax - We negotiated a protocol to explicitly protect our corporate tax rates before passing the second Lisbon Treaty referendum.
He also called on the Taoiseach, and all parties, to support a motion on corporation tax he intends to put down in the Dáil next week. This motion would reaffirm our position that Ireland's corporate tax rate is not up for negotiation.
