  • Back in the late nineties, I ordered a number of fossil replicas from the late Grover Krantz of Washington State University. He included some free items, one of which I could not identify. This is that piece! Thanks for posting!

  • You're quite welcome. That's very cool; glad I could help. :)

  • I personally think 7ft is the limit for this guy, the same as the limit is for a healthy athlete, but it would have the proportions of a wrestler, or Sheckiel o Neil.

  • @jackh4eva They think between 7-9 feet some theorising potentially 12 feet. They think if it was 8ft it had a really thick skeleton and massive amounts of muscle. They were a type of human species that used gigantic tools. So imagine a big boned 7 ft wrestler on a huge amount of steroids then add another foot

  • @rephaim22

    Thanks for the sarcasm.

  • umm. His teeth and jaw are wider than your fingers.

Meganthropus must have been a particularly "robust" 5 ft 5 inch ape man. He was not a giant, giants don't exist.

  • nice post, do you have any more info on it?

  • Shit, how big was that thing?
