Frankenstein: Interrogation 1 (Police Interrogation)

Another drunken Frankie video. This time the subject is Interrogation. It's a big subject, so more vids will follow. In case my moral stance is unclear in the video, here's what I think: torture is almost always wrong (exceptions would be something like a nuke set to explode in Manhattan, London, Tokyo, etc, in 30 minutes and you're interrogating a guy who has the disarm codes); "coercion" (defined in the video) is *usually* wrong; and interrogation as I define it is routine and shouldn't be condemned. I feel the public should be educated tho. If you want to know more about cop interrogation specifically, take a criminal justice course, order a book on the Reid Technique from Amazon (try "Essentials of the Reid Technique" by Joseph P. Buckley), or become a cop. Maybe you hate the idea of becoming a cop, but if only $(#&$@!@'s become cops, then all cops will be $(#&$@!@s. As always, all I really ask is that you think about it. For the record, I'm not a cop. Also, Wikipedia has an article on the Reid Technique -- it gets the point across but is somewhat incomplete. You might find the wikipedia stub on "R2I" of a little interest. In America dealing with law enforcement, the right to remain silent is probably the best defense. I may discuss resistance in part 3. Part 2, which is almost done, is just about interrogation from an intel perspective

The problem with torture or interrogation is folks soon just start telling you what you want to hear... Example: Frankie you are most wonderful, you are famous, you are my hero, I want to have your children... ooops... Anyway Pappy Stu said it... *But youtube won't post it so why did I bother?*

That's the problem with torture, yes... and also with coercive tactis. With interrogation, not so much. When interrogations are successful, the subject is tricked into accidentally blurting out the truth. It's not something they concoct to avoid the interrogation because if it's done right they don't really understand what's happening.
