If I twist my screen.. The problem goes away..

And no, I didn't drop it, sit on it or anything else :)

Has anyone had this problem?

  • NVIDIA publicly acknowledged a higher than normal failure rate for some of their graphics processors. After an Apple-led investigation, Apple has determined that some MacBook Pro computers with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor may be affected. If the NVIDIA graphics processor in your MacBook Pro has failed, or fails within three years of the original date of purchase, a repair will be done free of charge, even if your MacBook Pro is out of warranty.

  • A new inverter board might do the trick.

  • I think that's called solarization of the screen or something, usually caused by like a wire pressed against a screen. I'd google screen solarization and look into it.
