  • Hi dabart, you still got the boxster? How hard is it to do an oil change on? I have heard you need a lift, any truth to this?

  • @eliteaudio86 I no longer have it although I did an oil change on it . It was very easy. Same as any other car i've ever had. That was a pretty cool little car!

  • What gear was you doing that in.

  • 4th. S Boxsters are 6 speed (but you already know that)!

  • Sick car but im more in the 911 carrera

  • @xcom16 it'll stay this way title wise. As for top speed. My road was 2 miles long. That really isnt long enough to move to top speed AND decelerate safely. The video is a pull not a top speed vid.

  • Didn't see your other video. You should change the title or description to say "4th gear only" or something.

  • Hmm not sure why you posted this. I've had my non S Boxster up to 148, and I wasn't impressed enough to record that. Hell my crappy 05 mazda can do 113 without breaking a sweat.

  • @bg1379 what sort of car do you have? It's a dickhead car.

  • "you're commenting in favor of a stereotype on the very video you have said disproves it. "

THAT WAS THE POINT OF MY COMMENT!

We obviously both are set in what we believe. Obviously your events are going to represent solely the "driver" side of a Porsche. My cousin lives in LA and drives a maroon 997 Tip, and she probably couldn't even tell you where the engine is, while my cousin in Maine drives a 996 to the limit. Both groups undoubtedly exist, but the percentage they make up is debatable.

  • They're both unfair stereotypes.

Yes, part of the market for Porsches is people interested in their status symbol, but a larger portion is those who buy the cars because they love driving them, like myself and this guy with his Boxster S.

You mention Corvettes...stereotype there is a 40ish guy having a midlife crisis. Is this true of most Vette drivers? No.

I mean, you're commenting in favor of a stereotype on the very video you have said disproves it.

  • No, no. You can't compare thinking all Muslims are terrorist to thinking Porsche drivers sound stuck up. That isn't fair, and you know it. Second, THINK ABOUT IT! Any car that has a very high image is going to have buyers that are only interested in image. I mean, do you really think that a Boxster S has the same market as a Corvette, for example? Many, not all, people buy Porsches because they are foreign and are of high standing. Porshce's are status symbols, even if they are good cars.
