The original Wings was released on Amiga, that's why this is called Wings 2.

Good review man (except for the "Irish git" comment...). May have to pick up a copy of this one. Doesn't seem like a patch on Pilotwings though.

1992 first time I played this game I stalled the plane and went straight into a river!

Man... I played this as a Kid and this was the only game I couldn't beat. Bored as hell, I just beat it today on the original console.
Let me tell ya, PURE Satisfaction.

I don't know if anyone noticed but the pilot's rank just climbs with each mission.
He starts as a 2nd Liutenant, he's promoted to Liutenant after the dogfight, he's to captain after the bombing and, by the end of the strafing mission, he's already a Major. All with training missions.
And he doesn't stop there, further climbing to Colonel.
Hooray for times of war and speedy promotions!!

Decent review, if only you'd scratch the needless vulgarity and get your mouth off your mic. You covered the game well.
Ever notice how some of that music sounds like Star Trek II?
