BTW; We did indeed take hundred's of photos and video of our trips (plural) to Angel Island, we've travelled to Angel Island a half dozen times, rented bikes from SF side and spent several days riding the island. If I might be so bold as to reccomend a budget deal; rent your bikes from Sports Basement, ($20./1st day, $10./day thereafter) lug your packs backside (and / or via bike trailer ~ additional $10/day) this should give you sufficient accommodation for hammers, mallets, pick-axes.. : )

Please forgive me for the misinterpretation of patronization, that was most certainly a "tongue-in-cheek" ragging. I think anyone who takes on a camp trip to Angel Island
has much to be proud of, it's no simple undertaking.. We did our trip last July (2010) and enjoyed the same site (I think) as you guys did. Please forgive me for any negative judgements I might have made, we're aficionado's of adventure camping also and would be particularly happy to have your lot as our neighbors.

This "camping trip" appears to be more of a "catered" outing. You actually call yourself campers ???. basted Shish-kabobs? One dude was actually pounding tent stakes with a hammer, a friggin' hammer!!! This dude actually packed a hammer? unbeleivable! That's what rocks are for dude (clueless!)...a bag of briquettes? are you serious? 3 loaves of specialty bread (or salmon loaf, I don't know)???..."glass bottled" beer? You carried GLASS ?!?... Good God : )

Every second a gem.
You're studs if you actually carried all of that "stuff" on your backs to the campsite!!! But certainly not archetypical campers.
Bless you all for the effort though, keep trying : )

Don't patronize me. This is Angel Island in SF Bay. You take a ferry to it. We slept outside so I called it "camping." Catered? I think not—everything was homemade by some amazing cooks. It was a 45 minute walk to the campsite, and there was recycling once there. How would you have camped different on Angel Island—it's not exactly Desolation Wilderness.
You certainly claim to be an expert on camping. By the way, I really like all the videos you've shot and uploaded yourself.
