Also you don't need to do anything. From birth, actually even before birth while in the womb attached to placenta you are already connected to everything. There is no need to understand this intellectually or spiritually. You will not succeed and no one will 'succeed' for that matter because this connection is without separation so it cannot be experienced or known through or by any means. You don't need to open your mind. I say forget about the mind it is the source of all troubles.

@Diegomln I am not being insincere. I am being honest. Why is everyone chasing pleasure or contentedness? WHY? Pleasure always converts to pain. Pleasure is pain. Stop seeking enjoyment and there is no question of pain. Stop seeking enjoyment and there remains no questions at all. Then you will never listen to Eckhart Tolle, me, or anyone else for that matter.

@Josephjoel3 I respect your opinion but i can't say i agree with you, its not about reaching a new state of "enlightenment. all it is is a new consciousness which means your understanding of the world around you; anyone can obtain this new consciousness. once you see your connection with everything and everyone around you that is beyond the physical world we live in, then its impossible to go back, not because you would want to but because its a more enjoyable way of being. just open your mind.

@Diegomln I have nothing to learn because there is nothing to know or understand. Anything learned is purely for survival and manipulation of the physical world for continuity of this body. It has nothing to do with bettering oneself or becoming 'enlightened.' All of that is pure BUNK. This man just had a strange experience or experiences and he is trusted on that basis. So many people have had those experiences and there is nothing to them.
