@TheOneartist The way he's doing it, I think he's trying to hit it every off beat, which would be probably a lot more challenging for someone who's not a percussionist than hitting it every beat. He makes house music, he probably knows how to tap something every beat lol.

Woah, I think I get it now. Thomas is trying to hit the bass drum every time the ball hits the ground. He's miserably failing.
It's ironic considering the ace timekeeping Daft Punk have when playing live, and the music they created on their "Homework" album, which was done all-analogue.
