Just a few clips from a friends Gauge One open day - cold and wet.
Running order (as far as I can remember!)
Aster LNWR Jumbo with matching stock
Kit built BR Standard with goods train
Scratch built GWR Collett tender loco
Quick run past of a scratch built Highland loco
My own geared little Aster loco with those lovely LNWR coaches.
Scratch built model of Portstewart Kitson steam tram with matching stock (15mm scale for 3 foot gauge)
A great day despite the weather.

  • what kind of fuel do you use to heat the water in your engines?

  • @thunderhorse64

Hi - these ones all run on methylated spirits. Some others use coal and butane gas, but meths is more usual for this scale.

Wish they were all my engines :-)

  • Marvelous, it is exciting to see such speeds! Gauge 1 people certainly know how to build an impressive railway but you rarely see them ballasted which is a shame.
