FIXED LINK!!! http://www.mediafire.com/?9q4htyj4bmjy8c1

http://www.mediafire.com/?hyygtznnmgi If you use the soundfont, please give credit to TheEighthBit. If you want, you can send me a remix made with the soundfont, or post it as a response to this video. This is version 2 of the Ultimate Megadrive Soundfont (now called the Ultimate Megadrive/Genesis Soundfont). There are many new things in the soundfont:
-New demo midis
-New instruments
-Instrument volume problems fixed
-New drum samples from sonic 3 and others.
-New drum sets: electronic and dance
NOTE: some midis made for version 1.5 will not sound good in V.2 because of the many things changed.

  • Heyyy, could I get some help please?

I'm using Garageband and I've successfully installed the soundfont, but I can only seem to get one instrument. Doing a quick google search tells me that this is because GB can't handle soundfonts with more than one instrument. Does anyone know a work-around, or even, is the soundfont availiable in many separate files?

    Thanks!

  • I made a Sonic 16bit Medley with this !!!!

    Please watch :D

  • Is this file available in a ZIP file for a Mac?

  • @124SonicXT Thanks when you do. I'm sure others here would want to learn from this, too.

  • @Carls493 Right I'll post a video on it or something later. I'll send you the link later.

  • @Carls493 Right I'll post a video on it or sumthing later. I'll send you the link later.

  • @124SonicXT Awesome. Looks like I made the best choice.

  • @Carls493 I am familiar with MVS Tracker, but In my opinion it is terribly outdated. I'll try to teach as much as I can but note that VOPM is cryptic as fuck. VOPM is the sound chip that was used in most Yamaha Piano synths. It is the actual soundchip used in Megadrive and Some arcade cartridges. If you can find proper OPM's and Parameters for it, I'm sure you'll make Some very good use of it. In my opinion it's a MUST HAVE for anyone looknig to make Genesis music.

  • @124SonicXT You can teach me a bit. I had to use a version of Gens called Gens KMod as well as something called MVS Tracker in order to match certain numbers and parameters up to get the instruments I wanted.

Do you know any of that?

  • @124SonicXT

Oh well thanks, btw don't be afraid to dumb things down for me, lol. i'll check that out.
