Here is an interview with the sax player for the Rolling Stones. Bobby Keys started playing rock and roll with with Buddy Holly and has been with the Stones since the late 1960s. I helped Bobby learn to fly RC and had no idea of his rock and roll history. After I heard him telling a first hand story about John Lennon I realized Bobby was not your average RC pilot.
This is part 1 of my interview with him.

  • Bobby Keyes is a beacon of awesomeness.

  • @DawnFremy glad 2 hear

  • I want to throw a t.v. out of a window! :) What a stress reliever!

  • @haybee12 Keith's book, "Life"...SUPER read! Now I am reading Ronnie Woods' book Also a good read.:) I have a brand new appreciation of The Stones.

  • From the mid 50s to 1978 Bobby played sax on Lynyrd Skynyrd's album Second Helping. (Great work on Call me the Breeze). He played on Warren Zevon's albums (Classic sax on Lawyers Guns and Money, Excited Boy etc). Recorded with Joe Crocker, Buddy Holly, John Lennon, Elton John, Marvin Gay, Humble Pie, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Dr. John, Chuck Berry, BB King, The Faces and even Elvis (Return to sender). The guy must have been good

  • The guy is keiths best friend and was born on the same day Keith was. Bobby looks like a fat version of Bill Clinton or something.

  • me thinks he doth jest. read keiths books,he dosnt pull any punches, great read

  • @fishonalilo05 - I have the book but I must have missed that part. I remember Keith saying he had to sneak him back into the band and because Keys played so well it was accepted by Jaggar, who Keith says never spoke to Bobby once for the rest of that tour they were on. Was that Steel Wheels?
