Kenmure Castle, New Galloway, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland. Ancestral seat of the Gordons of Lochinvar.
William Gordon, Viscount Kenmure was executed at the Tower of London in 1716 for his part in the 1715 Jacobite Rebellion.
The castle is reputed to be haunted by a headless piper.
