@ssil08420 ha.. welllll i totally agree knowing 'your roots' is essential..one of the great byproducts of hip hop..i tend to think this song stands on it own..d'angelo samples the EWF song for the hook, lyrically only..but musically, this is an original piece.. 1 of my fav Roots songs..classic..sucks that it was wasted for the Men In Black soundtrack..?? wtf. but yeah..great music, btw..where the fuck is D'angelo..get back in the studio!
