@KosmynC64 You can also use the pedal with a guitar and get some really nice sounding distortion with it.
-
Music wise it is annoying sounding.
-
yes it is :)
-
so and expression pedal or the moog multipedal could modulate the wmd hmm?
-
Too cool. Getting one of these ASAP.

could you do that with something smaller like a korg monotron?
sinodira2 1 year ago
@sinodira2 Yes, absolutely. A Korg Monotron would be fine. You can run any audio signal through the WMD Geiger Counter and it will crush it to bits.

what modular synth is that??

That is an Analogue Systems (System 8500) modular.

What are is uses?It sounds really cool, like game effects but how you can use it to music?

The WMD is a sound modifier, or perhaps "mutilator" would be a more accurate term.
Other devices that do similarly horrible things to audio include the Frostwave Sonic Alienator, Sherman Filterbank 2, Metasonix Agonizer & Metasonix Scrotum Smasher (let's face it - ANYTHING Metasonix!).
You would typically use something like this on one or two instruments in a song, not the entire mix. You can take a boring kick drum and turn it into a monstrosity. That's what we all want, isn't it? ;-)
