Big fish I've spotted in creeks near the river. And, yes...I threw them a line, they wouldn't go for it.:( I have reeled in some 30 pounders that look like this. Fun to hook! They give you a good fight. I practice catch and release! I don't really like eating fish. Taste way too "fishy" for me.:)

  • that fish looked pretty catchable since thisfish was picking some little pieces of food from the surface :D

  • lol, I wish I had my RR with me at the time! I'd love to hook that one. I've landed one that was 30 lbs but they get much bigger.

  • big grass carp;)

  • @moneyman13ify Bowfin? That's a pretty bad assumption. I'd say either a common or grass carp by the mouth and scale pattern. and @wildstar1 next time try some corn or bread :P

  • wasnt picking food from the surface...it is a bowfin...they come up to breathe air in shallow water

  • WHAT S THAT THING

  • First one was a buffalo--they have sharper, more pronounced dorsal fins. The fish slurping on the surface was a common carp.

  • probly huge carp

  • id go and get gear and nail it with size 8 raptor

  • @littlehotgirl9 id get a big treble hook and snag one

  • Grass carp for sure.

  • @tacokiller101 yup thats a carp you can use range cubes to bait them in and mix cornflakes and straberry soda to make doughballs they love em also note if you have a problem keeping the bait on use a small piece of panty hose to wrap around your dough balls have fun and hold on might jerk the rod out of your hand lol
