I am a hearing person and I married to a deaf and I see people make fun of "US" all the time!! Need to stare point and laugh.. I also have 3 children 2 hearing and 1 is hard of hearing

Some Deaf people can talk but some don't want to. Unless there's something wrong with their vocal cords.
1:19 She signs "hearing people think Deaf people [are] stupid"(i think she also says "or mentally retarded"). She also says that not all Deaf are the same.
1:45 Hearing people think the Deaf can't use English. Which of course isn't true for all deaf people.
2:17 Hearing people think the Deaf can't get jobs.

Um well I guess I have time right now so i'll try to write out what she signed.
She says that many people in the world think that deaf people are all the same.
Then she starts signing about the stereotypes. i'm translating but changing the words depending on the signs she uses.
0:22 Many hearing people think Deaf people can't drive. Of course they can.
0:44 Many hearing people think Deaf can't speak(sorry if I'm wrong about this one. I've never seen this sign for "talk").

lol. You made me crack up when you mentioned hearing people talking on their phone while they drive. ughh...I also hate that sterotype that hearing people think that deaf people are stupid. I have to agree with DarkOneLives about including subtitles for people who don't know sign language. I'd be glad to help you out and post an interpretation here in the comments if I have time. I'd probably wouldn't go word by word though. More like a summary.

Many people get picked on. I got picked on for being fat, having glasses, my last name, my bad vision, I have a lazy eye that looks a little to the side too! Who cares what people think? Most people who pick on other people feel inadequate in some way and want to get the attention off themselves. I pray for them! God bless you all!
